Karaoke is a great way to learn English. At ANH you will often hear us warming up our vocal chords and learning new vocabulary through song!
When we are singing we often relax, enjoy the music, and often we find it is easier to make the correct English sounds!
Start slowly and don’t worry if you make mistakes – usually they are a great way to learn!
WARMING UP! Starting with vocal warm-ups helps to relax your voice and prevent injury.
1.Roll shoulders. Deep breaths.

Buzz lips together: “brrrr”

Tips and Tricks: when learning a new song, always
- Listen first
- Read the lyrics
- If using YouTube use the speed changer to slow it down until you are confident
- Sing slowly at first, speeding up as you learn the words!
