We had a fantastic Get Online Week session here last week with over 20 community members joining us to learn how to spot scams and stay safe online! Participants shared their experiences with detecting and avoiding scams, learnt about some new scams that are currently circulating, and enjoyed a delicious morning tea. Our Digital Skills teacher Ryan went through some key things to look out for in texts, emails and phone calls, that can help us identify a scam. We all agreed that it is important to ask for help if you think you have been scammed, anyone can be tricked! Some great questions were asked and we had heaps of fun with activities and role plays!
